Toshack eyeing stadium boost

Wales are preparing to face Scotland in what will be their debut appearance at City's new state-of-the-art ground - with high hopes of an attendance in the region of 20,000.[LNB]There has been much criticism levelled towards games played at their usual 'home' - the Millennium Stadium - with a host of empty seats too often resulting in a poor atmosphere. But with the Cardiff City Stadium potentially set to be the national team's new base, Toshack feels this weekend's encounter could be memorable for all the right reasons.[LNB]"The side that probably plays this Saturday will have an average age of around 22, a very young group of players," he said. They are going to be playing for Wales for a long time mostly and it would be nice to think that maybe for them this would be the start of something important and beneficial.[LNB]"That we can have a ground where we can play our home games and it will suit everybody. I think it has a 28,000-30,000 capacity at the moment.[LNB]"The experience of the new Cardiff City Stadium we hope will be very, very positive for us because without being critical or making excuses, we're not entirely comfortable in the Millennium Stadium."[LNB][LNB]
