The former Arsenal stopper has been restricted to just 12 appearances in all competitions for the Villans since moving to Villa Park from Arsene Wenger's Gunners in summer 2005.[LNB]But the 28-year-old believes he can resurrect his career during his during his end-of-season loan spell at Ninian Park - and is determined to cement his place as the Bluebirds' number one keeper.[LNB]"It looks a fantastic set-up at Cardiff," he told the club's official website. "I need to play first-team football because I have been pushed aside a little bit at Villa.[LNB]"When I agreed to join Cardiff on loan I wasn't sure which goalkeepers were here. There has been a lot of coming and going and those I thought were here aren't. I was a little baffled at first.[LNB]"I am out of contract at the end of this season and Dave Jones has given me the chance to play a part in a push for promotion. That suits me fine and if I do well then that can only help me when it comes to landing a contract for next season."[LNB][LNB]
