Taylor extends Bluebirds loan

The Aston Villa goalkeeper arrived at Ninian Park on a month-long deal back in March but, having made the last appearance of his agreement in Monday's 3-1 win over Burnley, he will now see out the season in the Welsh capital. Taylor has fallen out of favour at Villa Park of late but has impressed suitably during his time with the Bluebirds, becoming the club's fourth goalkeeper to be used this season and establishing himself as number one despite the recent return of Tom Heaton to full fitness. He will now remain with Cardiff until May 31, covering any possible play-off involvement with the Championship final due to be played at Wembley on Monday May 25. Any offer of a permanent contract for the 28-year-old at the end of the season remains to be seen.
