Taiwo "hungry to do well"

Solomon Taiwo is looking to cement a place in the Cardiff starting XI after suffering an injury setback at the end of last season. The Nigeria-born midfielder was forced to have a hip operation in the summer, which has hampered his pre-season preparations, but he is now ready to prove his worth. "I've felt demoralised because I haven't been able to train properly yet but I am also fired up inside and hungry to do well for Cardiff City," Taiwo told the South Wales Echo. "I have never been in the situation of not being a first-team regular before. But I am dealing with that and I will come back even stronger for the new season. "I am determined to make the most of my second chance with Cardiff. It's an alien situation for me being out of the team. That's something I haven't really experienced before."
