Two newly promoted teams lead the early Championship table. Cardiff have a chance today to knock them off top spot. After Saturday's games just three sides maintained their 100% records with two games played. Hopefully Cardiff can join them today. Southampton, Brighton and Derby all picked up a second win yesterday to head the table early doors. Southampton followed their thumping home win over Leeds with a 1nil win at Barnsley. Brighton survived a late scare as they won 1nil at Portsmouth. Pompey missed a penalty with the last kick of the game leaving Brighton with max points. Derby also won away, they won at Malky's old club Watford, also 1nil. So today Cardiff and Blackpool look to keep their 100% records intact. Blackpool are at home to Peterborough with Cardiff at home to Bristol City. Both games kick off at 3:00pm. There's a big week of football coming up with City playing three times in seven days. After today Brighton visit CCS on Wednesday before a trip up North where Cardiff face Burnley at Turf Moor on Saturday. Leicester City suffered a shock home defeat while Leeds also lost at home and ended up with nine men on the pitch.
