The highly-rated Wales international midfielder, 18, left Cardiff to join Arsenal last summer and has impressed when handed the chance under Arsene Wenger. And in a live webchat with the MediaOnline website, Ridsdale confirmed the Bluebirds tried to bring the Caerphilly-born youngster back to the club as they look to gain promotion to the top flight in 2009/10. Ridsdale said: "I have asked. But my understanding is that Arsenal won't let him out on loan." The Bluebirds chairman also spoke of the need for at least eight new faces this summer and admitted every player in the squad is available at the right price amid transfer speculation over Joe Ledley, Roger Johnson and Ross McCormack. While Ridsdale also revealed it is highly unlikely on-loan striker Eddie Johnson will be at the club next season, he also spoke about Ryan Giggs, saying: "I'd love to see a player of Ryan Giggs' quality and stature playing for Cardiff City. But I haven't got a crystal ball, so I don't know whether it will happen, or when."
