Ridsdale: I'd happily step aside

Bluebirds chairman Ridsdale, 57, has made his position clear in the past and he has again gone on record to say that if he is approached by someone who he feels has suitable finances at hand then he will happily pass over the keys and walk away.[LNB]Speaking as a guest on talkSPORT, he said: "If we get to the Premier League it's a question of can we survive? Whether I'll be there or not... Cardiff City is a club that should be in the hands of somebody with a big chequebook who can take us to the next level.[LNB]"I think we've done a reasonably good job but I don't pretend that we did anything other than come in on a short-term basis to try and get us to where we've got to.[LNB]"Absolutely, I would step aside. I went to Cardiff for three months in 2005 and I'm still around. I'm not around because I'm hanging on for the sake of it. I came to do a job, we've done a reasonably good job in terms of getting the stadium and the team built.[LNB]"But it needs somebody else who could take it to the next level. The day that person arrives then I'll shake their hand and walk away."[LNB][LNB]
