Player of the Year Dinner moved
The annual award cermony held by the Supporters Club (although last seasons was missed because of getting to the play off final) will now be held at the CCS on Friday April 29th. It was planned for this coming Saturday after the QPR game but with a trip to Preston in such close proximity it's been decided to move the event and it will take place the following Friday, 72 hours before the final home game of the season v Middlesbrough. The Supporters Club hand out several trophies to Best Player, Best Young Player etc and there are other awards with this website via the Internet Mailing List awarding a Magic Moment gong and there is a goal of the season award from the 1927 Club as well. “It will be a good night and allows players to enjoy some time with the supporters who always give us first-class backing both at home and on the road,” Mark Hudson told the Echo. “It makes sense to move from the Saturday after the QPR game to the following Friday night. “We’re travelling to Preston the next morning and that would mean less time at the function at a time when we’ve got to keep our preparation routines and focus in check.” For all the event details visit www.ccsc.co.uk or ring organiser Vince Alm on 07814779441.
