Pericard gets Bluebirds chance

Pericard was not offered a new deal by Stoke at the end of last season and has been training with Cardiff this week.[LNB]The 26-year-old featured as a substitute in the Bluebirds' friendly defeat by Valencia on Saturday and earned a penalty in the second half.[LNB]Jones is happy to take a look at the ex-Juventus and Portsmouth man, and is not ruling out a deal with the Championship side.[LNB]"Vincent's done a pre-season at Stoke, but then he didn't play the games," said Jones.[LNB]"They released him, but Tony Pulis rang us up to say to take a look and we will do that.[LNB]"He's been out a long time with a ruptured Achilles and there's no harm in looking at someone on a free.[LNB]"We're helping him and he might help us if we decide he's right for us. If he wins a penalty every week I'll sign him!"[LNB][LNB]
