Parkin to join Bluebirds
Preston have confirmed that striker Jon Parkin is to join npower Championship rivals Cardiff for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with the Bluebirds and North End have sold him now rather than allow him to leave on a free transfer in the summer.
Parkin was set to be out of contract at Deepdale the end of the season and a club statement said: "Preston North End would like to place on record their thanks to Parkin and wish him all the best for the future."
