Owner VT disappointed that all fans have not embraced the colour change

Tan has ruffled a few feathers with his comments after receiving his honorary degree in Cardiff on Thursday.

He seems to think that because he's invested the money to move the club forward that everyone should be onboard with the side playing in red.

"Yes, I am surprised there are fans against the colour. I'm actually quite disappointed with that," he said

"After all, for me to invest so much into the club that several times could have gone bust and had financial trouble and a big court case with the former owner....I was willing to invest and put in a lot of money

"Combined with getting into the Premier League...we spent £15m last season to buy players and we went up. That’s how we got up.

"I'm disappointed that after 51 years of not being in the top-flight that there are still some fans who don't think we have done a good job.

"I may say maybe they are not grateful so that part is disappointing.

"But like anything in life in democracy you won't have 100 per cent support.

"We have to think that those against us are about five per cent. We will try to live with that but it is disappointing."
