Opening marked by Celtic friendly
Construction on the 27,000-seater ground at Leckwith is set to be completed next month and the Bluebirds will play all home matches there from next term.
Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell told Cardiff's official website: "We are pleased to play our part in the opening of such a prestigious new venue.
"It will be a fantastic occasion for both sets of supporters."
Celtic traditionally boast a large following for pre-season friendly matches.
It will be a poignant occasion as both clubs remember Celtic's legendary boss Jock Stein, who died at Cardiff's current Ninian Park home.
Stein suffered a heart attack and died after Scotland's World Cup qualifier against Wales in September 1985.
The match will kick-off at 7.45pm.
