Official statement confirms player registrations
The club have issued their official statement confirming the lifting of the embargo and the registration of our new players. The statement issued this evening reads: Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that all obligations have been met to see the Football League embargo lifted. From this we can announce that Danny Drinkwater, Tom Heaton and Jason Koumas have on Friday evening been successfully registered for involvement in all Football League competitions. This obviously helps to strengthen the squad ahead of our opening npower Championship fixture on Sunday. As mentioned previously, all involved with Cardiff City continue to face up to the challenges presented by long term historical debts and the resulting cash flow issues.
