Naylor missing for Bluebirds

Cardiff will be without defender Lee Naylor for Sunday`s visit of Barnsley. The former Celtic left-back is struggling with back and hamstring injuries. First-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton (groin) and deputy David Marshall (elbow) remain sidelined so loanees Stephen Bywater and Jason Brown will compete for a starting berth. Manager Dave Jones will also hope Jay Bothroyd can get back among the goals with the striker, capped by England earlier this season, having failed to score since early February. Jones can otherwise call on a squad with a clean bill of health as City attempt to leapfrog rivals Swansea and Norwich into the second automatic promotion place. And the Bluebirds boss will be hoping his side can pick up the victory their past two performances have warranted, having dominated Ipswich and Crystal Palace only to come away with nothing to show for their efforts.
