More trouble for Cardiff

Cardiff could face another battle in the High Court over an £1.3million tax bill. The Bluebirds had confirmed last month the winding-up petition against the club had been officially withdrawn following a High Court hearing. But a report in the News of the World suggests they could yet go into administration if they fail to prove they can settle a £1.3million tax bill. The club reportedly now face another winding-up order in the High Court on August 11. Cardiff's chief executive Gethin Jenkins told the News of the World: "HMRC has launched a petition in the event we don't pay the PAYE bill. We are confident of settling it in the next couple of days."
