Mixed news for Bluebirds

Cardiff have received mixed scan results with the news Jay Bothroyd and Paul Quinn are not expected to miss any of the promotion run-in, but Mark Hudson has been ruled out for between four to six weeks. Having last week lost fellow striker Michael Chopra for the rest of the season to a Grade Three hamstring tear, City were left holding their breath after Bothroyd was then forced off with an injury to the same area in the 29th minute of Saturday`s 3-3 draw at Millwall. But the problem is not as bad as first feared and, with the current two-week international break, Bothroyd is expected to return in time for the April 2 clash at home to Derby. As is full-back Quinn, who was substituted in the second half at The Den nursing a muscle strain. However, the outlook is less promising for key centre-back Hudson after scan results highlighted a Grade Two tear of his knee ligaments, also sustained against the Lions at the weekend. He still has a strong chance of featuring again before the end of the campaign.
