Miller missing for Scots

Kenny Miller came close to being ready to play for Scotland today in Liechtenstein but he failed to complete training on Friday and will not be risked.

Miller only lasted 9 minutes for Cardiff v Hull last weekend before being replaced by Joe Ralls.

Malky Mackay allowed Miller to join fellow team-mates David Marshall and Don Cowie on Scotland duty. Miller was initially thought to have no chance of recovering from a groin injury but he was considered for todays game.

Scotland boss Craig Levein had earlier explained that, in consultation with Cardiff manager Malky Mackay, he would not be taking "any silly risks" with Miller, who has not yet been ruled out of Tuesday's match in Spain.
