The Cardiff midfielder has come in for plenty of flak from some of the club's supporters since twice seeing red against derby rivals Swansea last season. But he returned from another suspension to orchestrate the emphatic 6-1 midweek triumph over the Rams and now looks set to restrict the returning Joe Ledley to a place on the bench for Saturday's trip to Watford. The 29-year-old told the South Wales Echo: "I've had my critics, maybe because I had a couple of bad sending offs against Swansea City which didn't help me. But there is not too much I can do about that apart from keep my head down and play to the best of my ability. "People will make their own minds up about what kind of player I am, but I won't let it get on top of me, I can't afford to let it to wear me down. I will just keep plugging away and hopefully performances like Tuesday will change a few people's minds. I've taken some criticism in the past and I've had to take that on the chin and get on with it." Meanwhile, Malaysian businessman Dato Chan Tien Ghee is continuing investment talks with Peter Ridsdale having watched Tuesday's victory from the stands at the Cardiff City Stadium.
