Managerial madness

Names are flying around all over the place with wild swings in the betting as to who will be the next Cardiff City manager. The top names at the moment are Martin O'Neil - winner of a poll carried out by the Echo but I think it's just a clamour for a man who was a Premier League manager rather than a realistic candidate. Alan Curbishley has emerged today as a possible with some claiming he's set for interview this week. The two favourites at the moment seem to be Chris Hughton, a man who was pushed by his people a couple of weeks ago and from the inside Neal Ardley. None of these names have been confirmed by the club so remain as speculative cadidates. There is a whole list of other names with a good numbers of supporters wanting to see Exeter manager Steve Tilson move upto The Championship and a few would be happy to see former England manager Steve McClaren given a chance and Roberto Di Matteo is a popular choice. The list of names is madness with Chris Hughton odds on with bookies Victor Chandler with Ardley, Billy Davies, Matteo, O'Neil and Tisdale less than 10/1. Then comes a varied selection of candidates including Terry Burton, Zola, Hasselbaink, Bellamy, Curbishley, Coleman, Megson and Holloway. John Toshack is 20/1 with Ryan Giggs 33/1.
