Malky struggling to loan extra bodies

The boss has admitted he's attempted to recruit at least six potential loan players as City face an injury crisis.

By half time on Sunday Craig Conway, Robert Earnshaw (right) and Mark Hudson had all been withdrawn through injury. Rudy Gestede played out the game v Leicester while struggling with a hamstring problem. Lee Naylor is also a concern while Andrew Taylor is still out after his hamstring injury against Leicester in the Carling Cup.

The boss is looking to bring in fresh faces but with no luck.

"So far there have been at least six we have made calls on and it's just not suited the player or the club," Mackay told the South Wales Echo.

"But we keep going and meanwhile we patch up the plasters that are here.

"Clubs either cannot give out now due to injury situations at their own club or players don't want to come. We have certainly been very busy though."

At the moment City players Jon Parkin and Nat Jarvis are out on loan at Doncaster and Newport respectively.
