Malky looking to add to his squad

With the new season due to start in less than three weeks Malky Mackay has spoken of his desire to add to the squad and he says he has money to do so. A dozen players left this summer with six new names added. Now Malky Mackay is looking to bring more faces into the squad. “We lost 12 players which is a huge hole to fill here,” said Mackay. “We are trying to add to the squad. There has got to be more strength in depth than there is at moment right across from attackers, to midfielders and defenders. “We signed six pretty quickly and efficiently and international players too, which I am very pleased with and who I know will do well for Cardiff City. “We’ve done really good business but there will come a time when that isn’t available and we have to test the water with clubs and try and buy a player or two. “There will be funds available should they be required." Names linked include triallist Rudy Gestade, Kenny Miller, David Goodwillie and Craig Bellamy.
