“There’s a new manager in the door and he’ll only be thinking of looking forward rather than back.
“Nigel’s been there before, got his own ideas and I’m sure he’s putting them in place.
“From the outside at the start of the season I’m sure Leicester were tipped as one of the candidates to go straight up because of their financial clout but who is to say that won’t still be the case?
“There are still bags of points to play for. You can look the whole way down the league. Most teams have hit a vein of form at some point in the season.
“Teams in the bottom half can still get to the kind of points target you need for the play-offs because this division is so tight."
And on City's current good away form. “It’s always good to be up there and involved in club records and it means one thing – the team are doing well.
“We’ve had a momentum and a confidence away from home and we need to show that calmness and understanding of each others’ strengths that can help dig out a draw or a win.”
Nigel Pearson
"We have spent the past week dusting ourselves down after last Saturday, as we look to get the defeat to Brighton out of our system immediately," he says in today's Official Matchday Magazine."There is no room for feeling sorry for ourselves, but the last two games have been very frustrating."
Pearson added: "Our players and you as supporters, deserved an awful lot more from those games and, whilst the decision to rescind Jermaine Beckford's red card is totally justified, we are not able to turn the clock back and influence what happened during the ninety minutes of football.
"However, it would have been a double blow to be without him for additional games and we must take that, and some of the other positives from the last week, such as the continued team spirit, to ensure that we are in control of our own fortunes."
