Ledley wishes Bluebirds well

Wales midfielder Joe Ledley has paid tribute to former club Cardiff following his move to Celtic on a four-year deal. Ledley made a goalscoring final appearance in a Cardiff shirt, but was unable to prevent the Bluebirds from crashing to a 3-2 defeat in last season's Championship play-off final. But Ledley hopes his old side can clinch promotion next time around and he told the South Wales Echo: "Leaving the Bluebirds was the toughest decision I have ever faced. "I had been with Cardiff City since the age of nine - my entire career. But my contract ran out and I think it was time to move on. "I have some fantastic memories of Cardiff. It's a great club, and my heartfelt wish is that they can achieve Premier League status. "I just think the time was right to move on and have a look at my career."
