Ledley drama as Joe leaves Glasgow unsigned
A medical completed, a deal agreed for £25k a week but Joe Ledley left Scotland last night without signing for Celtic. TV footage from Sky Sports show Ledley geting into a car with his agent saying that they were having more talks.The Scottish press say Joe has returned home for personal reasons but whatever is going on it's all a bit strange. Joe was thought to have agreed a deal to sign for Stoke last week. Stoke fans with an ear at the club thought it was a done deal but Joe backed out and took the Celtic route. Now he's generating questions about his future by coming back home with no contract signed in Glasgow.Celtic were hoping it would be a done deal now and Joe would be traveling with them to America on Monday for a pre season tour.Dave Jones, speaking to the BBC before last nights pre season friendly at Bath, wished Joe well but admitted his surprise that Joe was going to go for the the SPL rather than the EPL. Jones' comments were made with him obviously thinking Joe had finalised his Celtic transfer. The interview with Jones can be viewed here.
