Laws plays down McCormack rumours

Burnley boss Brian Laws has distanced himself from speculation linking him with a move for Cardiff striker Ross McCormack. Laws conceded the Clarets are yet to hit top gear as an attacking force this season but is happy with the forwards at his disposal. He said: "I have got great belief in the players we have here and there are goals in them. We have just got to make sure we supply them with the right ammunition. "If we were actually giving them the right kind of service and they're not scoring then that would be a cause for concern and setting the alarm bells ringing and I would probably be looking to bring somebody else in. "But as it stands I'm not looking to do anything immediately. "I can't stop those kind of rumours. There are a lot of people whose names will be thrown around and we will be used as a sounding board to see if they can create interest."
