Kimbo strikes late to earn Cardiff a 2-2 draw with Man Utd

Another impressive Premier League performance from the Bluebirds.

Kim Bo-kyung's injury time header (yes header) secured a well earned point for Cardiff City against the current Premier League title holders.

City gifted Wayne Rooney a goal in the first half when a poor pass from Ben Turner went to Antonio Valenvia and his cross was controlled by Rooney who turned to score past David Marshsall.

It was debeatable whether Rooney should have been on the pitch. In the 8th minute he clashed with Jordon Mutch and was yellow carded where the punishment could have been worse.

A stunning pass from Mutch put Fraiser Campbell through on goal and the ex Man Utd player levelled the scores.

The visitors re-took the lead in the second half when Partrice Evra rose to head in from a corner. Cardiff never gave up though and substitute Bo-Kyung found the net in injury time to send a record 28016 crowd wild.

United could have have stolen the points a minute later but Rooney scuffed his ball to an un-marked Danny Wellbeck.

Jordon Mutch had a stormer in midfield and it was great to see Craig Noone come off the bench and make a difference. Andreas Cornelius also came off the bench and he has one late chance but shot straight at the keeper.

The point keeps City in 15th place but the performance and the belief that the side can compete with the best teams in this League have made it a very good day indeed.

Next week City face Arsenal at CCS on Saturday, ko 3:00pm.
