Jones: We`ll be spot on for opener
Cardiff boss Dave Jones is confident his side will be ready for the start of the npower Championship season after seeing them lose 3-0 to Portimonense on Saturday.
It was the Bluebirds' only game of their pre-season tour of Portugal but Jones was not overly-concerned by the performance and he insists they will be fully fit when they host Sheffield United in their season-opener on Sunday August 8.
Jones said: "Our players are running at around 80% right now but they'll be spot on for the opening league game.
"We are trying different things, different formations.
"There were good moments and there were poor moments but it's best to get it wrong at this time than when the season starts."
