Jones: We are not a one-man show

Cardiff manager Dave Jones has dismissed suggestions his side are entirely reliant on Craig Bellamy this season. The Bluebirds suffered a surprise second-round Carling Cup defeat to Peterborough after Bellamy was able to rest his knees following his performance in the 4-0 win over Doncaster in the npower Championship. However, Jones claims Bellamy's omission was not a factor in the team's defeat at London Road and blasted several individuals for poor performances. "That's (Bellamy's absence) going to be thrown at us and is something we've just got to cope with. But, if people think we are a one-man show, then they are far from being right," Jones told the South Wales Echo. "It wouldn't have mattered whether we had Craig or not because too many players out there decided that they didn't want to work and earn their corn. "Anyway, I thought we had won without Craig before. We beat Derby away, we beat Burton in the last round and we drew with Sheffield United. It's got nothing to do with it. We lost because too many switched off. They will be told and they won't get away with it."
