Jones wary of Norwich City trip

Currently fourth in the division Cardiff look well set for a play-off place but Jones refused to predict how many points his club would need by the end of the campaign."We set a target at the start of the season to try and win as many games as we possibly can," Jones revealed. He said at a recent Cardiff City board meeting, others had files full of calculations for the number of points needed for the rest of the season, but that was not a method he favoured."You can't work like that. It's impossible," he said."Your mind would be bogged down with trying to work out what you can do."What we can do is make sure players are properly prepared."The Bluebirds go into the Norwich clash having lost just once in the league in their last 16 outings - a 1-0 defeat at Southampton in February. But Jones believes too much emphasis has been placed on that reversal."You have to put things into perspective. We have lost one league game since November," he said."It's like everything - because you are getting to the finishing line and you lose a game, everyone gets out the doom clouds and sticks them over their heads and starts panicking."Every time we lose there is a negativity and we have to shut that out."
