Jones scoops Manager of the Month Award
The Football League award presenters were able to kill two birds with one stone this morning when it was announced Dave Jones had won the October Manager of the Month. Jones led his side to 5 straight wins in October and saw the club end the month on top of the Championship table. So Cardiff provided the player (Jay Bothroyd) and manager of the month for October. Excellent work.Alan Curbishley, Chairman of the npower Manager of the Month awards panel told the Football League website "Cardiff City enjoyed a fantastic month to take them to the top of the npower Championship table. With Dave Jones guiding his team to a 100% record for October they are very well placed ahead of the busy winter schedule."
