Jones - Penalty was correct

Dave Jones felt his side deserved their first-half penalty in the 2-1 win at Coventry.. Peter Whittingham gave the Bluebirds the lead from the spot with just five minutes on the clock after Ben Turner appeared to tug Michael Chopra. Referee James Linington gave the penalty but only after being notified by his assistant. Gary McSheffrey replied on the stroke of half-time for the home side but it was left to Jay Bothroyd to convert a Chris Burke cross to seal the points for Cardiff. Cardiff boss Jones said: "We've seen it on the video at half-time, it's definitely a penalty. "To me personally it's a yellow card but the rules state if the striker's facing goal and he gets dragged back then you go off. "But the referee said he wasn't sure whether he was going to put it in the net. So you figure that one out."
