Jones mulling over his future?

Reflective words from Dave Jones at the end of Cardiff City's 2010 / 2011 season. He puts the ball in the owners court. “Do I still have the drive and the passion? Of course I do because I love my job.," Jones concluded after City lost 3 nil at home to Reading. “I have to be given more time to get over my disappointment and anger but I will take stock of my life and position and whether I want to. “It’s not whether I can – it’s whether I want to or whether the owners of the football club want me to. “I look round and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved at this football club but the last hurdle is the hardest one to get over. “If being close is not successful...that’s for the owners to decide. “If they think there’s someone better to take it forward it’s their decision, but I will back my own ability. “Lots of things will be said and lots of things will be written but I have to take stock of my career and my life and what I want to do. I will assess it in the cold light of day. “I am disappointed for the fans but they will get there (the Premier League). “It might not be in my time but they will get there.”
