Jones happy officials made the right decisions

The linsman patrolling the touchline in front of the main stand might get a christmas card this year from Dave Jones. Jones had the last laughHe made no effort to suggest that Jay Bothroyd's one yard special was offside and then later raised his flag to rule out Middlesbrough's goal when there was a suggestion of handball from Leroy Lita.Jones of course agrees wholeheartedly with the decisions."We stood firm and rode our luck on some occasions, but it's a hard-earned three points," said Jones."Because we've got the technology, we say Bothroyd is onside and Lita's hand-balled it for the 'goal' they scored"So we got away with it because of the right decisions from the referee and linesman."I don't like giving credit, but they were right today on the two major decisions."That's the only thing we can ever ask for and I'm sure when Gordon sees it, he will realise that."But Gordon doesn't see it that way. Boro boss Strachan left South Wales with nothing. "The referee claimed that Lita had handled just before we had a goal ruled out, but we also thought Bothroyd was offside when he scored," he said."However, we were unable to take our chances."We have played a lot worse than that this season and won games, but it is still very disappointing."Hopefully the play-off race will go to the wire which will help us to get right in there, but today we just weren't good enough."
