Jones hails subs' impact

Dave Jones felt his substitutes made the difference as his Cardiff team edged past Scunthorpe in their 1-0 npower Championship win at the Cardiff City Stadium. Scunthorpe had kept the promotion favourites at bay until the 85th minute when Seyi Olofinjana found the top corner. But Jones felt it was the impact of his reserves that helped them undo the Iron's stubborn resistance, singling out Jason Koumas for his cross that allowed Olofinjana to net the winner. Jones said: "The three substitutes we brought on changed the game. "We were always pressing hard and as long as our two centre-backs did their jobs it was really a case of when we would score. "I will never settle for what these players do as I always want more and it was good to see Jason Koumas produce a great cross for the goal. "Confidence is high in the camp and it is a happy dressing room. Good teams keep going until the end and it is all about results from now on but that little bit of quality will always shine through."
