Jones hails 'phenomenal' Burke
The winger smashed a second-half winner to take his tally for the season to 10 goals in Saturday's 2-1 win at Crystal Palace.[LNB]Jones told the club's official website: "Burkey is a livewire and an integral part of what we do. He's been popping up with goals all season, not just of late.[LNB]"We brought him into the club for nothing and people were asking us why have we gone for Chris Burke, he's not played much football, he's had problems in Glasgow with his illness and injuries. But because he was free and we thought we could get the best out of him, we went for him.[LNB]"He's been consistent all season, one of our most consistent players, and when you get a lot of consistency in the team you do well.[LNB]"Burkey's work-rate is phenomenal.
