Apologies for old news. Last week, before the new Malaysian reigime completed their share purchase it was announced by the club that talks held between Dave Jones and the then prospective new owners, came to the conclusion that Jones would stay as City manager. "During these meetings Dave reiterated his ongoing commitment to the club, and the club to him," read an official club statement. "Dave also presented proposals to club representatives which were accepted by all. "As a result dealings will now take place with the aim of producing a squad that will see Cardiff City Football Club again challenge for promotion next season."One of Jones' first tasks will be to get Joe Ledley to sign a new contract. Joe has been linked with several Premier League clubs and both Rangers and Celtic. A move North of the border would be terrible for City as they would get no compensaion for Joe's development. With the Malaysians consortium now onboard Cardiff City can plan for the new season.
