Jones calls for Ridsdale backing

The Bluebirds boss wants three more new signings to bolster his ranks and both Joe Ledley and Ross McCormack to remain at the Cardiff City Stadium to mount a serious charge for the Premier League. Ridsdale has said players need to move on to balance the books before new faces can be brought in, but Jones insists losing his star players will not help him achieve the club's dream. He told the South Wales Echo: "I want three more players in and the chairman knows who they are. If I can bring three in, then Cardiff City will have one heck of a squad for the new season. "I don't want to lose the three I have asked for. Does the chairman have the courage to go for it? "We have to stop selling our best players at some stage. I can't keep building if we keep selling. This club has evolved so much. The next step is being able to keep our big players."
