Jone and Jay nominated for honours
Dave Jones and Jay Bothroyd have been shortlisted for the opening monthly awards. Jones, along with Neil Warnock (QPR), Roy Keane (Ipswich) and Kenny Jacket (Millwall) are in the running for August manager of the month.City, QPR and Ipswich are all unbeaten with 10 points in the League while Millwalll have 9 points.Of the three unbeaten teams what may swing it is that Ipswich are still in the Carling Cup. Ironically they face Millwall in round three.Jay Bothroyd is nominated for player of the month. He's up against Kasper Schmeichel of Leeds, Abel Taarabt of QPR and Millwall's Paul Robinson.The winners will be announced on Thursday this week.
