The Bluebirds suffered their biggest league defeat for over 30 years at Deepdale but Dave Jones has stressed his players cannot let one bad result destroy their season. And striker Bothroyd has echoed his manager's thoughts, telling the club's official website: "It was a horrible game to play in, very embarrassing, we didn't put in an honest account of ourselves. It was a freak result. "But we can't dwell on that, we have to look to the Charlton game now and get back on track. I'm really happy a game has come around so soon. "We have to get a result, we have to get back on track. If we go into the Charlton game thinking about the Preston result it isn't going to help us. We need to completely erase that from our minds and totally focus." Elsewhere, Cardiff have placed a lifetime ban on a man who admitted to throwing a missile onto the Ninian Park pitch during the club's recent derby match against Swansea. The 24-year-old had already been handed a three-year banning order from all football games following his trial at Cardiff Magistrates' Court.
