Jay disappointed at missing Swans clash

The yellow card picked up by Jay Bothroyd on Saturday has cost him a place in the side against Swansea this coming weekend. Bothroyd has now accumulated 5 bookings has been given a one match ban."I'm gutted. I'm disappointed I can't play in the derby on the weekend but we have to deal with that now," he said. "Our squad this year is tremendous though, and the likes of Andy Keogh and Jason Koumas are there to come in." Bothroyd thinks that last weeks challenge on Luciano Becchio may have been on the minds of the officials."My tackle against Leeds was highlighted a lot last week, but I went into that challenge with Becchio to win the ball, not to hurt him - I'm not that sort of player," added Bothroyd. "I think that might have been in the back of the officials' minds against Norwich though because I didn't touch their player on Saturday. "I've gone in for the ball, their player has jumped up in the air and the referee saw fit to book me for that."
