why there seemed a sparce Cardiff City following at Upton Park then you can thank the Met for restricting crowd numbers. Only 1250 Cardiff City fans were permitted to travel on Sunday with 1000 of them forced into a 'Bubble' scenario on organised coaches from Cardiff. Some 200 fans were permitted to travel by car but still had to exchange vouchers at South Mimms services on the M25 and a lucky few, those who lived in London, were allowed totally independent travel. All Cardiff fans who went to the game had to have travelled to at least six away games last season to qualify. With no restrictions for an opening day fixture at arguably the biggest club in the Championship this season Cardiff would probably have taken 3,000 - 4,000. Just so you know.
