Hudson welcomes TG assurances

Cardiff captain Mark Hudson has revealed how a team meeting with chairman Dato Chan Tien Ghee just 90 minutes before Sunday`s season opener at home to Sheffield United has put the squad at ease over the direction in which the club is going. The financially-stricken Bluebirds were only released from their summer-long transfer embargo two days before the 1-1 draw, enabling new signings Tom Heaton, Daniel Drinkwater and Jason Koumas to register their availability. But Malaysian businessman Dato Chan, more commonly known as `TG`, personally flew in to tell the players that everything is in order and fresh faces can be expected before August 31. "TG came in the dressing room before the game, which was great for him to show his face before the first game of the season, and he assured us everything is in working order," defender Hudson told City`s official website. "We had a meeting with him about an hour-and-a-half before kick-off and he told us everything we wanted to hear really. "We've just had (Jason) Koumas come through the door which is a great signing for us and we`ve been assured he`ll be followed by a few more which can only benefit us and is great for Cardiff City."
