Hudson tipped to take captaincy
It is understood the centre-back, signed from Charlton earlier this month, will lead out the Bluebirds for Saturday's final showpiece friendly against Valencia and for the first time in competitive action versus Scunthorpe on the opening day.
Ledley took the armband from Stephen McPhail midway through last season after the Irish midfielder lost his place in the team, but the Wales skipper's uncertain future looks to have paved the way for Hudson to step in.
