Home Nations set for Cardiff clash

Talks over a potential fixture on November 14 are at an advanced stage. Both countries are looking for a match on the Saturday international date, which has been set aside for the first leg of the World Cup play-offs, after their qualifying hopes ended. The match would be the first international at Cardiff's new stadium, which was officially opened in July when Celtic and the Bluebirds played out a goalless friendly. The match could see Cardiff winger Joe Ledley line up against several team-mates as David Marshall and Ross McCormack are likely to be included in the Scotland squad, while Gavin Rae, Chris Burke and Kevin McNaughton have also won Scotland caps. The teams last met in February 2004 when a Robert Earnshaw hat-trick helped Wales to a 4-0 friendly victory at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff.
