Heaton in contention for Derby start

02 April 2011 10:04
Tom Heaton has decleared himself fit for today's game against Derby County. Loan signing Stephen Bywater cannot play against his parent club so either Heaton, or our other on-loan keeper, Jason Brown, will play. Heaton last played in the 2 - 0 win at Hull at the end of February. Bywater played the four games in March with City losing two and drawing two. Cardiff seem to have good or bad months. Last October we won every game, November and December were barren before improving again in Jaunuary and February. March has been poor so let's hope April is a bumper month. Good form now is crucial to achieving promotion. Jay Bothroyd has also declared himself fit after a hamstring twinge in his last outing against Millwall. There will be no Mark Hudson after his ligament damage so Cardiff will make changes at the back. Most likely new loan signing Jlloyd Samuel will come in at left back and Kevin McNaughton will move into central defence alongside Dekel Keinan. Today, at home against a struggling Derby side, the focus will be on the attack to go and win the game. We have no Michael Chopra but Bothroyd, Bellamy, Burke, Whittingham will all be expected to make it an uncomfortable aternoon for Robbie Savage's Rams.
