Gerrard keen to get one over Bluebirds

Anthony Gerrard admitted he will have a point to prove when he makes his debut for Hull against parent club Cardiff on Saturday. The 24-year-old opted for a season-long loan switch to the KC Stadium earlier this month after slipping down the pecking order at Cardiff, where the central defender had been a regular last season. Gerrard told the Hull Daily Mail: "I've got a point to prove going back there. Not necessarily to anyone at Cardiff after the amount of games I played last year, but to myself. "I want to make people sit up and ask why did I go. That's the case whenever you play against a former club. "I'm a Hull player now and I'll be going back there in the black and amber looking to do well. "I'm relishing the chance to go back to Cardiff just to see how I do against my old team-mates."
