Duo in Cardiff frame

Jay Bothroyd and David Marshall could shake off injuries to be fit for Cardiff`s trip to Derby. Striker Bothroyd was forced off at half-time in Wednesday`s 4-1 Carling Cup triumph over Barnet but is likely to make the trip to Pride Park. Goalkeeper Marshall withdrew from international duty with Scotland in midweek nursing an elbow problem yet could also be in contention to challenge Tom Heaton for the number one jersey. But the pair are not the only concerns for manager Dave Jones, who will hand late fitness tests to the versatile Darcy Blake and full-back Kevin McNaughton. Should they not make it then new boy Martin John could again be asked to fill in despite a lack of match fitness. Adam Matthews also had to be substituted shortly after half-time against Burton due to injury, while Jason Koumas got 50 minutes under his belt but is still not ready to start from the off. Midfielder Seyi Olofinjana is expected to make Jones` squad after his arrival on loan from Hull.
