Did you know?

This is the first time in over three years that City have registered back-to-back 1-0 wins in the League. Back in January 2008, City blanked Plymouth 1-0 January 1 at Ninian Park, then defeated Sheffield Wednesday 1-0 January 12, also at home. Ledley netted the winner in the New Year's Day match, while Hasselbaink got the goal against the Owls. Thanks to John Heyda for that. and from Andrew Chinnock This season. Winnig games late on. Number of goals scored in the last 15 minutes: 15 Number of goals conceded in the last 15 minutes: 4Number of points won in the last 15 minutes: 17Number of points lost in the last 15 minutes: 2Almost a third of our goals have come in the last sixth of a game. We've won 7 games in the last quarter of an hour and rescued 3 draws as well. From seasons gone by, those are remarkable statistics. Prior to this season, we'd lost far more points late on in games than we'd won since Dave Jones took over. Only Norwich have wrestled any points away from us late on this season. It's certain that without our late resolve and determination, we'd be a midtable side. If all of our league games ended after 75 minutes we'd have a record of 10 wins, 10 draws and 10 defeats, scoring 34, conceding 31. I'm not sure what that suggests - maybe sides prefer trying to stop us and we find it difficult breaking them down but eventually wear them down. I think it also suggests that we have players now who are capable of doing something a bit different when it seems a game is going away from us.
