Derby day win pleases Malky
It would be hard not to be happy with City's fine 3 - 1 win over Bristol City. Here are the thoughts of the managers involved. "I'm delighted with the way we started the game," said Malky Mackay. "Our work-rate and pressing was fantastic from the first minute. "We made Bristol City make mistakes in the first half and it was great to score the goals in the first half. "It was always going to be a tough game because it was my first competitive match at home, the fact it was a local derby and the fact Bristol had just come off a disappointing result last week and they wanted to change that. "So we had to go out with a certain attitude today and I wanted the players to press at every opportunity. I thought they did that in the first half. "I am pleased because the lads are taking on board what the coaching staff and myself are trying to apply. "It's hard work every day at the training ground and it was great to see that in the performance." Bristol City manager Keith Millen said: "The first half was disappointing and although we've only played two games, the softness of the goals we are conceding is a concern. "We are not giving ourselves a chance to get the first goal at the moment. If we do that, we will not win games in this league."
