Danny delight at return
Danny Drinkwater has spoken of his delight at getting some much-needed minutes under his belt against Nottingham Forest on an otherwise disappointing afternoon for Cardiff.
The on-loan Manchester United midfielder missed 10 weeks of action due to a thigh injury before returning to make a surprise start against Swansea earlier this month.
A substitute appearance followed at Reading before 45 minutes or so in Saturday`s 2-0 home defeat to Forest, and Drinkwater is hoping to be involved in what is a mouth-watering top-of-the-table clash against QPR this weekend.
"I was happy to get on the pitch, a bit of game time," he told Cardiff City Player. "It`s just disappointing we didn`t get the three points.
"QPR was always going to be a big game, especially with the build-up, they`ve got some good players and we`ve got some great players so we`ll see what happens."
Regarding a possible start at Loftus Road, Drinkwater added: "We`ll see what the gaffer thinks, my position in the team lies in his hands and no matter what happens hopefully we`ll get the three points."
